Richard Emerick Horvatis earned his Master of Architecture from SUNY Buffalo in 2020 — at the age of 81. His work spans architectural theses, hand-drawn decision matrices (and neural networks), as well as photography and paintings that blend technical precision with a deep reverence for the natural world.

His artwork reflect decades of observation — the disciplined eye of an architect meeting the expressive hand of a painter.
